Description
Circa 1875. Originally known as the Tilton Inn, this country retreat was built for the many visitors who came to the scenic village to enjoy the Winnipesaukee River, including Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. It is centrally located in Lakes Region amidst the White Mountains. Recent renovations have restored its historical integrity as well as its tradition. The second-floor Sanbornton Bridge Library welcomes relaxation and the book-lined walls are full of local information and knowledge to delve into and absorb. Each guest bedroom is named and decorated to reflect a locally prominent person or well-known influence. A continental breakfast is served daily. Fine dining is offered at The Olive Branch Restaurant and Tavern.
