Description

Circa 1900. This National Register home was one of a few local homes designed by Richard Sharpe Smith, the supervising architect for the nearby Biltmore Estate. The simple exterior and pleasing Arts & Crafts style is flanked by a wide veranda for relaxing and enjoying the neighborhood. English and American antiques fill the elegant inn. Well-appointed guest bedrooms feature King-size beds and fireplaces. Some have whirlpool tubs, and one boasts a clawfoot tub. A secluded, deluxe five-room whirlpool suite also offers a sitting room and private entrance with balcony. Breakfasts include a special fruit dish such as baked banana souffle, a daily entree and dessert. The inn hosts a social hour from 6-7 p.m. daily.
