Circa 13005. Architecturally significant, this recently restored inn is listed in the National Register. Named one of iLoveInns.com's Top 10 Most Romantic Inns in 2002, it is located in an historic residential neighborhood and sits on the country's first gaslit street. Two fireplaces highlight the elegant parlor, where classic English afternoon tea is served in Victorian tradition. Books and videos also are available there. Well-appointed guest bedrooms and suites reflect regional themes and events. Encounter period furnishings and fireplaces, with some rooms boasting two-person whirlpool tubs. Ask for the Harborview Spa which includes French doors leading to a rooftop deck with private hot tub and panoramic harbor view. Morning coffee or tea is brought to each room.
