Description
Circa 1903. Twin gables and a massive front porch are prominent features of this Craftsman-style brick and wood inn. French and American country decor, stained-glass windows and a selection of antiques create a light Victorian touch. The inn also features beautiful gardens of roses and lilacs. The exquisite Southwest adobe casitas are a favorite for families and romantic getaways. Breakfast is often served in the backyard garden. Home-baked treats are offered to guests in the afternoon.
This property has been featured in New Mexican, Glamour, Southwest Art, San Diego Union Tribune. Location: City/Urban. Inkeepers Notes
The Inn, built in 1903, is one of the oldest structures along tree-lined Palace Avenue. A five-block stroll west past historic homes, fascinating shops and one-of-a-kind galleries, leads directly to the central Plaza, the celebrated end of the Old Santa Fe Trail. Just two blocks to the southwest you'll discover Canyon Road, a picturesque neighborhood of restaurants and galleries made famous by Santa Fe's original art colony. After a day of exploration, Alexander's Inn welcomes you home with overflowing plates of cookies and lemonade on the front porch, or enjoyed on a beckoning bench in our shady gardens. You might indulge in a spontaneous nap some call it a siesta before dinner. Later, try a soothing soak in the hot tub beneath a blanket of stars. Slip into our sinfully soft robes and prepare to melt into a bed of luxuriously soft cotton sheets, feather pillows and down comforters. Complimentary bedtime chocolate sweetens your dreams. Before you leave, spend some time in our bountiful gardens, created by innkeeper Carolyn Lee.
